Debra Peters, PhD 
Licensed Psychologist, CEO

Debra Peters, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist and owner of Wisdom Path, PLLC. Licensed in NC for more than 25 years, she has worked with adults and children in various settings including hospitals, mental health agencies, and private practice. She has developed a reputation in the community as a skilled and ethical clinician. She has taught at area universities and provides supervision and training for other clinicians. Special interests include trauma, ethical and legal issues, psychological assessment, dreams, and spirituality. Dr. Peters is known for her genuineness, humor, and practicality.

Kim Harshaw, MS, LCMHCS
Clinical Coordinator

Kim is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor experienced working with adolescents and adults. In addition to providing clinical services, she serves as the coordinator for all clinical services. She enjoys individual therapy and group therapy. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Schema-informed therapy approaches to assist clients with regulating intense emotion and tolerating distress. She also specializes in management of chronic pain.  Her warmth and sense of humor make her clients feel accepted and at ease.

Cassie Moore, MA, LCMHC
Operations Coordinator

Cassie is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with extensive training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TFCBT), trauma informed care, and integrated counseling services for the whole family. Cassie has spent her career providing counseling services to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families.  She enjoys working with clients who are seeking help with anxiety, depression, complex trauma, life transitions, and parenting skills. Cassie provides evidence-based treatment for early childhood trauma, complicated grief, and fractured parent-child attachments. She is viewed by her clients as welcoming, comforting, and supportive.

Lee Hager, MA, LCMHC, NCC

Lee is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor experienced in working with adolescents and adults. She enjoys working with clients who may experience anxiety, depression, mood disorders, life transition issues, women’s issues, intimate partner abuse, and trauma issues. She utilizes an eclectic approach using cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and schema-informed therapy. Lee is a warm, compassionate therapist who is approachable and easy to talk with.

Rebecca Woods, MA, LCMHC, LCAS-A

Becca is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate with experience working with adults and adolescents. She enjoys working with clients seeking help with anxiety, depression, life transitions, women’s issues, addiction recovery, and grief. Her practice is an eclectic approach integrating cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy techniques. Becca cultivates an optimistic and non- judgmental atmosphere for clients to discover their best steps forward in addressing their concerns.

Jennifer Froyd, MA, LCMHC, RYT-500

Jennifer is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Registered Yoga Teacher. She has worked for more than 20 years in public hospitals, day treatment programs, community counseling agencies, and part-time private practice. She has a long-standing interest in wellness and holistic health, and has completed additional training in yoga, with an emphasis on emotional wellbeing and therapeutic yoga. She utilizes a collaborative, integrative, strength-based approach to counseling, drawing from cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused modalities. She also integrates yoga-based interventions into counseling sessions. She works with adults who are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, career difficulties, and caregiver issues. She is valued for her calm, compassionate, and respectful presence.

Marie Carey, MA, LCMHC, RYT-200

Marie Carey is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor experienced in working with children, adolescents, young adults and families. She has received training with Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to provide support for individuals who have experienced trauma in their lives.  Along with trauma-informed care, she enjoys working with clients seeking support with anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She utilizes an integrated approach including person centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, play therapy, and yoga to promote overall wellness. Marie's warm, compassionate presence makes clients feel peaceful and relaxed.

Dara Barnes, MA, CAS

Dara is a Licensed Psychological Associate with over 25 years of experience in psychological assessment of children and adults in school settings and mental health agencies. She specializes in cognitive and behavioral evaluations of children and teenagers. She has skills relative to a variety of conditions including AD/HD and Autism, as well as being a NC approved provider for Traumatic Brain Injury. Dara is experienced by her clients as calm, knowledgeable, and warm.

India McWhorter, MA, LCMHC-A 

India is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate experienced in individual and group therapy with young adults and college students. In addition to supporting college students during their years of exploration, India enjoys working with clients who may experience depression, anxiety, grief, race-based and other complex trauma, and identity exploration. India utilizes a relational therapeutic approach, often drawing from existential, gestalt, and narrative-based interventions with clients. India has been described by her clients as warm, helpful, and approachable.
