Rebecca Woods
MA, LCMHC, LCAS-A

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 6 years of experience

in individual adult counseling. I have experience supporting clients with life

transitions, women’s and gender issues, various relationship and boundary

concerns, anxiety and depression, addiction recovery, religious trauma, and grief. I

am experienced in working with clients across all gender identities, spiritual

practices, and relationship styles. I am neurodivergent affirming with personal and

professional experience working with those who are diagnosed or suspect Autism

and ADHD, particularly women. I use an eclectic approach integrating person

centered and humanistic therapy with cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness,

and holistic therapy.

I believe that a kind, compassionate, and non-judgmental

environment combined with honesty and straightforward communication creates

the optimal environment for therapeutic growth. My bachelor’s degree in

interdisciplinary studies with a minor in Psychology and a Concentration in

women’s and gender issues laid the groundwork for complex understanding of

issues around identity, social, and political concerns that impact mental health in

the community. I completed an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at

Montreat College in 2017.

Outside of practicing therapy, I am a mom to three amazing kiddos, one loving cat,

and one sweet dog. I love to hike, write, create art, and spend quality time with my

friends and family. Counseling has been a calling for me from an early age, and it

is an honor to be part of that journey with each person I get to work with.
