Brittany Propst, LCMHC

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and I have been working in the

mental health field since obtaining my MA in Licensed Clinical Mental Health

Counseling, from Liberty University, in 2021.  Upon graduating, I worked as a

mobile therapist providing counseling services to students attending middle school

and high school before transitioning to work in community mental health.  I have a

range of experience working with adolescents and adults from diverse

backgrounds, and it is important to me to adapt, in my treatment approach, to meet

each individual client’s needs. I have an eclectic approach to counseling which

assimilates person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused

therapy, schema-informed therapy, and trauma-informed techniques. It is important

to me as a therapist to provide a holistic approach encompassing emotional,

physical, and spiritual well-being.  I recognize the honor in being a part of a

client’s journey to finding their inner strength and healing while navigating issues

such as complex trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, depression, anxiety,

and struggles with identity.  I am also passionate about helping women of all ages,

to strengthen their self-esteem and sense of self-worth.  I am committed to

promoting inclusivity and diversity, in my practice, and I strive to be a supportive

ally to individuals of all backgrounds.  I strive to create an environment where

clients can express themselves authentically by building rapport through my

genuineness, empathy, and peaceful presence.

In my time outside of practicing therapy, I enjoy writing, reading, being in nature,

traveling, and spending time with friends, family, and my two sweet and loving

cats.  Being active is also an important source of self-care for me including hiking

and strength training.
