Holistic, integrative counseling that addresses the mind, body, and spirit.

Jennifer Froyd
MA, LCMHC, RYT-500
I am a NC Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a MA in Community
Counseling from Appalachian State University and 20+ years of experience. I also
have completed two yoga teacher trainings with Kristine Weber of Subtle Yoga,
emphasizing therapeutic yoga, as well as training in other somatic practices. I
integrate my long-standing interest in wellness and holistic health into counseling
with my clients.

I view counseling as a privilege to assist individuals with navigating the journeys
of their lives by developing personal strengths, support networks, & healthy coping
strategies; all of which are important aspects in moving toward overall well-being.
In counseling, I use an integrative, collaborative, strengths-based approach,
drawing from Cognitive-Behavioral, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy,
Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, & Somatic (body-
awareness) modalities. I work with adult clients who are struggling with
depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and stress.

I practice navigating personal challenges with a grounded, mindfulness-based
approach, using body-based practices as an anchor. I look forward to partnering
with my clients to create opportunities to restore balance, relieve stress and anxiety,
relax and receive the gifts of the present moment, and build a feeling of
empowerment to make healthy choices.

Personally, I enjoy spending time with my family, being in nature, and learning
new things.
